Medical Director – Marc Polacco, MD

Meet Dr. Marc Polacco

Dr. Marc Polacco is the Medical Director of Revitalize U. A double board-certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Marc Polacco offers personalized treatments and excellent aesthetic results to his patients. He specializes in helping his patients achieve their desired results through various treatments and procedures. No matter what your beauty goals are, Dr. Polacco will be sure to listen to your concerns and to work with you to develop a customized treatment plan.

Dr. Marc Polacco received a full-tuition scholarship to attend medical school at the University of Iowa, where he graduated with distinctions in research and the humanities. His hard work continued to pay off when he secured a research grant from the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, an award granted to only one student per medical school annually and, in his final year of medical school, he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society.

Dr. Polacco went on to complete a 5-year residency in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center where he received the New England Otolaryngology Society resident research grant, awarded to only one resident annually among all otolaryngology residents in New England.

Following his residency, Dr. Polacco completed a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). In addition to perfecting
surgical skills and the artistry of facial plastic surgery at UCSF, this environment allowed him to
perform multiple clinical trials on the latest neuromodulators and research methods to
optimize results with botulinum toxin treatments.

In addition to his training and research, Dr. Polacco is committed to advancing care and giving back to the community.  Dr. Polacco and a colleague collaborated to launch a non-profit organization, the American Melanoma Institute, dedicated to education, research, and support for those diagnosed with melanoma as well as their loved ones. He also serves as a reviewer for several medical journals, including Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the Aesthetic Surgery Journal. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and he has been named a Rising Star by Castle Connolly.

Dr. Polacco is excited to be back in Iowa and looks forward to being part of the Revitalize U team.
